Palilula Municipality celebrated on Sunday 9 the Saints Day – Gathering of all Serbian Saints. The traditional Saints Day cake was cut in Saint Nikola church where the Holly Sermon with prayer of calling Holly Spirit for the beginning of new school year, was held by His Holiness Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan. While wishing all the best to the authorities of Palilula Municipality, this year to the host Milan Stevanovic and the president of Municipality Boban Dzunic, who took over the duty for the next year, His Holiness Archbishop of Nis Dr Jovan said: It is wonderful that we said our prayers on the day of all these Saints, for they gave the lights to the lighthouse, to the candles of this God house, who were taught of light of God and also enlighten the others with Christ light. We said prayers during the cutting of bread in the honour of all Saints, for all those who put efforts in this Municipality, in this City. We said the prayers that God give them wisdom to keep up with all efforts and be servants to their own people`When authorities from Palilula asked me where to cut the cake this year, I told them that the center is where the temple of God is. They obeyed me and this is that act – emphasized Archbishop of Nis, Dr Jovan.
The reception and gathering of guests was organized in NKC. The guests were, according to tradition, welcomed by Boban Dzunic, president of Municipality with his associates, Council members, Authorities of the Assembly and representatives of Municipal administration. Representatives of the City Council and City Assembly with the representatives of Municipalities, Citizen Council, Army and Police, citizen associations, Chinese community in Nis, great number of public personalities from social and political life, business associates of Municipality and friends were all present at the reception.
While congratulating Saints Day to all the present guests, president of Municipality Boban Dzunic said that the plans for the work of new authorities are very ambitious. `We want to work for the good of all our citizens, our people. All the things that have been done so far and also have been started – we will continue and bring up to the end. With the demands and initiative of the citizens that are the first step in the cooperation, we will introduce them to those authorized in the City authorities. We will demand that, in the manner of efficiency, we should also provide bigger authorizations to City Municipalities – said president Dzunic. I like to thank to you that you gathered all here after our invitation, I like to wish you all to have good time, specially our friends from other Municipalities who are here today with us, as well as the representatives of Ministries from Belgrade.

Gathering of Serbian Saints – Palilula Saints Day was established in 2004. This year Saint Day gathering, after the estimation of the present, was very well organized – and it is the moment to remember.
